Supervisory Liability and Constitutional Policing
This dynamic, instructor-led 1-day course is designed to equip law enforcement supervisors with the legal knowledge and leadership tools necessary to effectively manage risk and promote constitutional policing. Focused on the legal principles of supervisory and municipal liability under 42 U.S.C. §1983, this course explores how courts interpret failures to supervise, train, or discipline, and what supervisors must do to protect themselves and their agencies.c
This course will address the core responsibilities of supervisors in relation to policy compliance, training mandates, use-of-force incidents, misconduct response, and personnel oversight.
